Get to know a little more about me what I specialise in, what my degree was about and what pathway I chose + some extras.
About me
My name is Andrew and I studied game design and development at University of Greenwich. I chose the programming pathway where I studied C++, and C# in both Unity and Unreal engine, some of the projects I completed were AI in games, XR, shader Programming, Game design and development in Unreal engine which was a 3D first person shooter and my dissertation which was a mixed reality project.
My main interests are with extended realities and Shader programming as I have always been fascinated in these areas and still find myself wanting to learn more about the new technologies and advancements. I enjoy technical art a lot and the programming knowledge that I have built up on my course allows me to understand elements of a project and find the most productive way of making them work.
I have experience working with other in different environments such as working with companies and groups and also interacting with members of the public in my current job working for Virgin active. I’ve found all these skills to be useful in any environment and can be transfered over work places.
I also play a lot of games and enjoy play testing whenever I can. Some games that I have tested are Population one, mini royale, LIV, Marvel rivals and a few other Indie virtual reality games. I am always signing up for playtests and keeping up to date with the latest news and releases. This also allowed me to develop further knowledge in how to communicate with developers and companies to make sure they benefit from the experience.
